MIMTIS design is centered on multi-level redundancy to ensure constant communication and operation of your system. When you use MIMTIS, you can monitor and control your assets with confidence. Protect sensitive information and manage communication flows with robust security features, such as support for hardware level encryption, password and firewall. Proven 128-bit SSL encryption protects your communications and data in real time when accessed over the internet and when systems are upgraded.
User authentication
When users login into MIMTIS, their credentials can be authenticated directly or against your organization's LDAP server. The administrator can easily configure authentication methods and advanced settings such as timeouts and query page-size limits during deployment. MIMTIS directory services integration (Active Directory, LDAP) enables integration with an organization's existing user management system, reducing application management costs by enabling administrators to manage users and groups in a single location. Native directory service integration is supported with licensed deployments only. CSV file import provides hosted customers with bulk imports of users and groups. Users are required to choose strong passwords and change them regularly, else authentication is denied.
Audit logs
MIMTIS has built-in audit trail logging features. Trail logging helps audit personnel to detect unauthorized or unapproved data manipulation. It provides data change non-repudiation - that means when a user changes a record and claims he/she didn’t change the record, then its validity is precisely determined via inspecting audit trail logs. Users can also use this facility. When a user notices that his/her inserted records are changed, by looking at audit trails he/she can understand who changed the records. Audit trails can also be used to determine abnormal application behavior. A user may inadvertently alter some records and this can be easily debugged if an audit trail is present.
Manage user and password policy
MIMTIS enables password policy management, and administrator reset of password, consistent with industry best practices. This enables administrators to align MIMTIS solutions with their existing security policies. User privileges and roles are configurable and allow or restrict access to system or its sub components.
Highly redundant architecture
A highly redundant architecture ensures no interruption, with automatic failover to an available server in the event of a system failure.
Leverage web technologies to remotely acquire asset data in real time
MIMTIS is a web based platform enabling greater enterprise level access to asset information with just a web browser. There is no need of lengthy installations or system configurations. MIMTIS provides greater enterprise level access to data through automated reporting and browser software. It comes with a fully loaded web HMI that facilitates user interaction with the system remotely.
Remotely automate, optimize and control assets around the world
MIMTIS based smarter monitoring and control allows an operator or manager to monitor and control assets that are distributed among various remote sites. The system saves time and money by eliminating the need for service personnel to visit each site for inspection, data collection or make adjustments. MIMTIS eliminates technical barriers between users and assets. Since MIMTIS is engineered to work on a variety of operating systems - even the most diverse and distributed teams and assets can collaborate with ease. MIMTIS utilizes proven web and backend technologies that enable assets to become smarter, interconnected and more accessible, as compared to legacy telemetry systems.
Remotely track your asset location
MIMTIS allows tracking of asset location using GPS position. The customer can select an RTU with inbuilt GPS receiver or you can attach an external GPS receiver to the RTU using serial interface.
Escalation of alarm using email or SMS
The data is processed as per predefined alarm or business rules and in case of alarm conditions alerts are sent via email and SMS to users. Escalation rules can be built for action in cases alarm is not reset within a time frame. The system allows secure acknowledgement of alarms via email and SMS by field staff.
Record asset information for future reference
The asset data is continuously recorded and backed up in a MySQL data base. Historical data records can be easily searched and accessed for information or trend analysis.
Choose the best combination of hardware and network
MIMTIS allows interoperability and integration with any hardware supporting open protocols. Users can easily add a new hardware or remove a faulty one with minimal downtime. It comes with a pre-supported list of hardware adapters and support for new hardware can be provided on request. MIMTIS supports a wide variety of DAQ, PLC, sensors, gateways and communication devices. MIMTIS supports wired, wireless, cellular, satellite and other networks or a combination of them. This provides customers the flexibility of choosing the right communication network for their application.
Remote system hardware diagnostic, upgrade and trouble shooting
MIMTIS hardware diagnostic features enable easy upgrade of hardware firmware and control programs remotely, provided the RTU hardware you have chosen provides support for such functionality. The user can configure, upgrade and troubleshoot the field devices remotely without visiting the site. The hardware also supports intelligent self diagnostics algorithms that keep track of RTU that have not responded as per schedule, parameters data being out of range and other hardware faults.
Virtual integration of hardware
MIMTIS allows virtual integration of hardware. Users can quickly implement monitoring and control solutions by physically integrating hardware (like a PLC with a wireless modem) and replicating it in MIMTIS. This allows for building of smart solutions using off the shelf products without need of any programming. Sensors, DIO and other analog devices can also be easily mounted and un-mounted to analog channels. Example - if a user needs to monitor temperature using a GPRS RTU/Gateway with serial interface, a serial DAQ, and a 0-5V temperature sensor. The user during virtual setup of hardware can select the GPRS RTU/Gateway, mount the DAQ on its serial ports and then mount the temperature sensor on one of the analog port of the DAQ. Once software setup is done you can connect the hardware physically and after configuring the hardware settings, deploy it in field instantly. Virtual integration of hardware also allows building of networking capability into existing devices that do not have such capability.
Support peer-to-peer or multiple bus protocols and data interfaces
MIMTIS uses industry standard bus protocols such as Devicenet, ControlNet, Modbus etc to communicate with field devices. It also provides an option to communicate with these field bus protocols using industrial interfaces like OPC and SNMP. The bus architecture can be set up as a peer-to-peer for small installations or in a master slave configuration with multiple nodes for large installation.
Support pull and push technology devices
MIMTIS supports both push and pull technology devices. The listener module in MIMTIS listens to active push devices and handles data sent by them to the server. The poller module poles the pull technology devices at the frequency set for data acquiring. The polling response is then captured by the listener for further processing.

MIMTIS provides the capability to create, save and edit custom reports that present the information you want to see, organized in the way you want to see it. An interactive interface lets you select the metrics you want and define multiple levels of sub-reports. Once created, each custom report is available to facilitate organization or asset-wide reporting, leading to increased efficiency and profitability. In addition, MIMTIS reporting allows you to transform, analyze and present real-time information throughout the enterprise for prioritized decision-making. MIMTIS browser based HMI allows you to display all the required information on a single web page. The system allows easy customization of the HMI as per users monitoring and control objectives.
Mount parameter on asset for easy visualization
MIMTIS allows uploading of drawings, layouts, schemas and plans in various file formats. These can be layered together to provide an overall view of sites and assets that is intuitive and easy to use. Monitor and control parameters can me marked on these images at appropriate location for easy visualization and correlation of data with appropriate physical component. For each asset there is a dashboard for viewing all parameters and controls associated with that asset.
Gauzes and charting tools
MIMTIS provides gauges, switches and other visualization components for easy and interactive viewing of asset data. Plot multiple data points on a single graph for a faster trend analysis and to uncover insights into asset condition.

Use slider report filters
Compare time periods and select date ranges without losing sight of long term trends. This feature enables users to define parameters for reports, such as data for certain time frames or range, so that, for example, reports can be generated for a specific time or range.
Advanced rule engine
MIMTIS rule engine has both production and reaction rule capabilities. The production rule engines execute when a user or the application invokes them. The reactive rule engine reacts automatically when events occur.
Threshold alarm rule engine
The MIMTIS threshold rules engine enables you to create rules with parameter thresholds or their expressions without any programming. MIMTIS also supports threshold rules on the Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) device or Local Terminal Unit (LTU) to reduce communication costs.
Business rule engine
Depending on the state of various parameter values, rules can be initiated to model business processes. MIMTIS business rules engine enable business analysts and non-developers to easily define and modify business logic without programming. MIMTIS business rules provide faster, easier rule modifications and reduce subsequent redeployment costs.
Risk rule engine
MIMITS monitoring effectiveness lies in the system’s ability to reliably estimate the asset failure risk. The risk engine evaluates the probability of an alarm condition transitioning to a failure state and the impact of failure using the risk rules set. Once calculated, the magnitude of risk for each asset can be used as an indicator to determine how urgently repair work should be scheduled for the asset.
Create asset template with MU Type for rapid deployment
MIMTIS allows creation of asset type template using Monitored Unit Type (MU Type). The asset parameters and configuration saved in a template becomes instantly available in new monitored asset units (MU) created from that template.
Maintain scalability through distributed application architecture
MIMTIS offers single-server or clustered environments, providing reliable, redundant deployment for organizations small and large supporting thousands of concurrent users. Local Terminal Unit (LTU) servers help reduce bandwidth requirements and provide local control and monitoring functionality at sites where there are multiple assets. The LTU gathers data from local RTU’s and communicates it to the central MIMTIS server or MTU (Main Terminal Unit). The MTU, LTU, middleware provide a robust backbone for large scale geographically distributed application deployment.
